The Most Recorded Kit In History – Hal Blaine’s Monster Set

In this video, Donn’s Drum Vault tells the story behind the legendary Hal Blaine’s equally legendary monster drum set. Hal Blaine played this drum set on literally thousands of the most significant pop recordings of our time. Hal played on 40 #1 singles, 150 Top Ten singles and 8 Grammy Records of the Year.

The Wrecking Crew was a nickname coined by drummer Hal Blaine for a collective of studio and session musicians that played anonymously on many records in Los Angeles, California during the 1960s.
